Jonathan Knight says that his fellow New Kids On the Block band members always knew he was gay. But I’m sure the announcement was a shock to many teenage girls. Knight had a public tiff with celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton who repeatedly tried to out him to the public. In an interview Knight states, “Perez tried to out me many times and I hate that guy for doing that. I was already gay and living a gay lifestyle but he wanted me to talk about it. Why? My brother and the rest of the guys don’t go on interviews saying ‘I’m straight’ etc. so why do I need to just because I’m gay?” In 2011 he official came out on the NKOTB blog saying, “I love living my life being open and honest, but at this time I choose not to discuss my private life any further! My fellow band members don’t discuss their private lives with their loved ones and I don’t feel that just because I am gay, I should have to discuss mine!”

The two have been an item since 2004 and were thrilled to be able to finally make it official. Both were enthusiastic activists in the drive to legalize gay marriage in the state of New York. Inequality for anyone diminishes us all.” In 2011, Marinoni gave birth to their son Max, who is now 3 years old.
Although Ian McKellan first came out in 1988, fans still tend to be surprised when they learn he is gay. His one regret? Not coming out sooner. His father died in a car crash when Ian was only 24 years old. He never had the chance to share the information with his father. Ian made gossip headlines in 2012 when he accidentally outted two of his “Hobbit” co-stars in an interview for the German website, Brash.de, when he stated “Just look only how many openly gay actors in the “Hobbit” with were: two of the dwarves, to Luke Evans, Stephen Fry, Lee Pace.” Hobbit fans are still speculating on which of the two dwarfs he could be referring to!

He had several high profile affairs including a 12 year relationship with fellow screen star Randolph Scott, who he met in 1932 on the set of “Hot Saturday”. He also famously lived with Hollywood fashion designer Orry-Kelly.
Raven Symone came out to her fans on twitter last summer after it was announced that more states had legalized gay marriage, by tweeting “I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you.” She later clarified her tweet by releasing the statement through her PR representative, “I was excited to hear today that more states legalized gay marriage. I, however am not currently getting married, but it is great to know I can now, should I wish to.” She is currently rumored to be dating AzMarie Livingston, an American model who rose to fame after appearing on America’s Next Top Model: British Invasion. I’m still a 55-year-old virgin.” In 2012 she dedicated and entire week of her show, The Suze Orman Show on CNBC, to the unique financial concerns of people in a gay marriage.
